This was announced by head of the Independent Trade Union of Miners of Ukraine and the Confederation of Free Trade Unions of Ukraine Mikhailo Volynets.
"They did so because of wage arrears. They were did not receive in full their wages in November and did not get a single penny for December," said Mikhail Volynets, referring to what head of the primary trade union organization of the Independent Trade Union of Miners at the State Enterprise "Selidivugillya" Ivan Chukov said.
The leader of the primary trade union predicts that the initiative of the first shift will be supported by colleagues from the second and third shifts of the coal mine.
"The miners want to draw attention to themselves, and they see no other way to do it than to refuse to go downstairs into the mine ," Chukov said.
According to him, the general director of the company went to Kiev to solve painful issues.
"If he returns with nothing, then outraged miners will have to go to the capital," added Chukov.
