The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has prepared a series of changes, and the 12-year form of education awaits both children and teachers.

This reform of education implies that schools will be autonomous with the ability to independently form educational programs, curricula and methodics. The Ministry of Education and Science will retain control over the quality and standard of education. School management will be carried out at the local level.
Let's highlight some significant changes that have been made to teachers and schoolchildren in the Ministry:
- Teachers will tell marks only to the child and parents;
- the first-graders will have no evaluation;
- Teachers will not reduce the marks for violating the rule that determines certain number of cells and strings in the notebook where to start writing;
- the children will be taught to first write with pencils;
- In the notebooks of first-graders will be prohibited to make marks in red ink;
- Requirements and criteria for the signing of notebooks have been removed;
- Vacations and holidays will be conducted by schoolchildren without any homework.
Of course, the changes will affect the teachers, now everyone is preparing a re-certification to prove their professional skills. Certification for teachers will be voluntary. In case of successful re-certification, the teachers will be paid a monthly supplement of 20% of the salary for the duration of the certificate.
