Pension reform eliminates equalization, when almost the same pensions are received by people who worked hard all over the life and those who worked carelessly. Ukrainians who have worked from a young age will be able to retire at the age of 60.
Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman wrote about this on his Facebook page.
"The basis of our reform is the simple principle - the pension must be earned, that is, to pay contributions to the Pension Fund," - wrote the Premier.
"If a person is legally registered, the contributions for such a person are compulsorily paid by the employer. We do not change the rule - when making a pension, all worked years until 2004 are taken into account as an insurance record. Only the means of confirming the existence of insurance are different," wrote the Premier -minister. And explained that before 2004, the insurance period is calculated according to the records in the labor book, and after 2004 - automatically based on the data of the personalized retirement account.
The parliament on July 13 supported the reform in the first reading.
