Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed a bill regulating Russian performers' tours in Ukraine, the presidential press service reported.
The bill "On aspects of organizing and conducting performance tours by citizens of the aggressor nation in Ukraine" says Russian performers can tour in Ukraine only after receiving approval from Ukraine's Security Service (SBU).
The document forbids conducting performance tours if a person or persons connected with the tour poses a threat to Ukrainian national security.
It also says that if a participant in the tour is a citizen of the aggressor country (Russia) the organizer of the tour no later than 30 days prior to the tour start date should apply to the SBU requesting information on whether there are legal grounds for prohibiting the person/persons from taking part in the planned events.
According to the bill, the SBU within 10 days from receiving the request will respond to the organizer of the tour about whether there are legal grounds not to allow the citizen of the aggressor country to participate in the tour.
