With such words, President Petro Poroshenko congratulated the troops of the Army Land Forces on the occasion of their holiday.
As the Head of State stressed in his message of greetings, the troops of the Land Forces were the first to defend the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine during the events in the Donbas.
Recall that the holiday was introduced by the Presidential Decree in 1997, taking into account the merits of the Land Forces of Ukraine as the most numerous type of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in ensuring the defense of the state.
The modern Army Land Forces consists of mechanized and tank troops, missile troops and artillery, military aircraft, parts and units of air defense, special troops, technical and logistic support institutions.
