A direct flight on the route Kyiv-Toronto will be opened in the summer of next year by the Ukrainian airline company Ukraine International Airlines (UIA), Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman and Prime Minister of Ontario (Canada) Kathleen Wynn agreed during the meeting.
"I am happy to announce that Kyiv and Ontario will become even closer next summer as the UIA opens a regular flight Kyiv-Toronto, which will significantly enhance not only the strengthening of inter-human contacts, but will also open new opportunities for business development, especially in the context of the entry into force on August 1, 2017 of a free trade agreement between Ukraine and Canada," the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine quoted Groysman.
The sides noted the strengthening of the dialogue between Ukraine and Canada and agreed on the need not to lose the pace and depth of mutual cooperation. During the meeting, the parties expressed their conviction that the opening of direct air communication between Kyiv and Toronto will contribute to strengthening economic ties between the two countries.
