The number of foreign tourists who visited Kyiv from 2015 to 2016 increased by 25.8%.
This was stated by head of the Department of Tourism of the Kyiv city state administration Anton Taranenko during a press conference.
"Such growth rates are very important for us, and we can say that now in the city of Kyiv and in the Kyiv administration, tourism is a priority, as an integral part of the city's economy," Taranenko commented.
We will add that in the first half of 2017 1.2 million people visited Kyiv. According to forecasts, this year, the external tourist flow to the capital of Ukraine may increase by 30-40% compared with 2016.
