Low-cost airline Wizz Air is interested in flights to Lviv and Kyiv cancelled by Irish Ryanair. This was stated by the Director General of the Lviv International Airport Tetyana Romanovskaya.
"The main competitor of Ryanair is Wizzair. When Ryanair announced that it withdraws from the talks, Wizzair wondered if they could make flights planned to be offered to Ryanair from Lviv airport. By the way, we offered Ryanair the same terms as Wizzair, "Romanovska said.
According to Tetyana Romanovskaya, no airline is capable to generate such a passenger traffic as Ryanair. In particular, if Ryanair starts flights from lviv, the airport will receive about UAH 10 million profit.
As previously reported, Ryanair cancelled Ukrainian flights from Lviv and Kyiv due to failure of the management of Boryspil airport to comply with the terms of the agreement signed in the Ministry of Infrastructure in March.
