Kyiv authorities: Around 20,000 tourists expected to arrive for Eurovision 2017

Anton Taranenko, head of the Kyiv City Administration's tourism department said about 15-18 thousand will be foreign tourists, and about 7-8 thousand more - domestic tourists. Regarding ticket sales, the official said over 30,000 tickets had been already purchased, of which a half was acquired by foreigners. He noted that most of the foreigners who bought the tickets for Eurovision are citizens of the UK, Sweden, Norway, and Israel. According to Taranenko, in total around 30 thousand tourists, Ukrainian and foreign, will visit Kyiv on May 1-15.
