"Ukrainian delegates to the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) will continue their activities as part of the JCCC, but will withdraw from the occupied areas in Donbas", Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff spokesperson Yuzef Venskovych told the 112.Ukraine TV channel on Monday.
"Therefore, the Ukrainian side will be forced to withdraw its observers from the temporary occupied areas to those controlled by Ukraine," he said.
In his words, the Ukrainian members worked in Donbas under the Minsk peace agreements and will continue doing so in future. "Now, when the officers of the Armed Forces of Russia are leaving Ukraine, our Ukrainian members at the JCCC will continue performing duties, and conduct monitoring and ensuring the work of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission [to Ukraine]," Venskovych said.
