The Prosecutor General's Office will again summon Mikheil Saakashvili for questioning .
This was announced today in Kyiv by Prosecutor of the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office Oleksandr Hovoruschak. Oleksandr Hovoruschak has filed a complaint at Kyiv Court of Appeal against the decision of a trial court (Pechersky District Court of Kyiv) to refuse to choose house arrest as a measure of restraint for the leader of the Movement of New Forces party, former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili.
Mikheil Saakashvili has appeared at the Prosecutor General's Office, where he had been summoned for questioning, but declared there that his criminal case should be passed to the Security Service.
"When this case is passed to the Ukrainian Security Service as is required by the law, I will provide testimony," Saakashvili told journalists after visiting the Prosecutor General's Office on December 18 morning.
Saakashvili's defense lawyer Ruslan Chornolutsky said that according to the law, the case is within the Ukrainian Security Service's jurisdiction.
