Former Georgian President and leader of the Movement of New Forces Mikheil Saakashvili demands the resignation of Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko and leadership of the Security Service of Ukraine.
He stated this from the scene near the Verkhovna Rada, Ukrinform reported.
"We demand the resignation of the traitor Lutsenko and leadership of the SBU , who executed these criminal orders," Saakashvili said. He also demands the adoption of a law on the president's impeachment.
People's Deputy Yuriy Derevyanko added that activists will demand the resignation of Lutsenko on December 5 after the report of the leadership of the law enforcement agencies in the Verkhovna Rada, and in addition, on December 5 "the issue of adopting the draft law on the president's impeachment should be resolved."
The supporters of Saakashvili who are at the square of the Constitution supported these demands. Saakashvili also said that he insists on a peaceful settlement of the situation.
Public order near the building of the Verkhovna Rada is provided by more than a thousand law enforcers and National Guard fighters.
