Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin and co-chairman of the joint intergovernmental Ukrainian-Israeli commission on trade and economic cooperation Zeev Elkin have discussed ways to complete talks on a free trade agreement between Ukraine and Israel, the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said on November 28.
The parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation. The Ukrainian foreign minister briefed on the situation in Donbas, and also thanked the Israeli side for supporting Ukraine in the international arena.
During the talks with Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu, Klimkin emphasized the importance of recognizing by the Israeli side the Holodomor of 1932-33 an act of genocide against the Ukrainian people.
