The servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces as part of the Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian brigade (LitPolUkrBrig) have taken the course on conducting radio communications under NATO standards and a practical test of the compatibility of the radio stations of the three countries during the Maple Arch 2017 exercise, in Poland, the press service of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry reported.
"Polish, Lithuanian and Ukrainian servicemen with assistance of Canadian mentors underwent training on NATO communication voice procedures followed up with radio equipment test compatibility practice within Maple Arch 17 Exercise in Poland," the Defense Ministry said on its official website.
Thus the aforementioned training event aimed to establish a radio network between the Brigade Command Post and Headquarters of affiliated Lithuanian, Polish and Ukrainian maneuver battalions.
As reported, more than 460 Ukrainian servicemen were taking part in the multinational command and staff exercises Maple Arch 2017 in Poland.Also, in addition to the national personnel of the Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian brigade (LitPolUkrBrig), the Armed Forces of Ukraine represent the servicemen of 80th and 95th separate landing assault brigades, the command of the highly mobile amphibious landing forces of the Armed Forces during the current Maple Arch.
