As our correspondent Natalia Kozachuk reported,wet snow and wind gust caused de-energizing of settlements in 16 districts of the region, and in 90 villages the electricity supply has been disconnected completely. As a whole, 473 electric substations have been damaged, and the emergency repair brigades of the regional energy supplying companies and rescuers have a great deal of work to eleiminate consequences of the bad weather. Ii is necessary to remove fallen trees from the tracks, using special equipment for this purpose.
Now, due to snow and bad visibility, traffic on mountain roads is significantly hampered. Wet snow, wind gust and ice are forecasted today as well. Therefore, tourists are asked to refrain from hiking in the mountains, and motorists are urged to be attentive on the roads.
