Attempts to destabilize the domestic situation will fail, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said during a meeting of the Regional Development Council on October 24 in Kyiv.
"A part of hybrid war are attempts by the Kremlin to disrupt the situation in Ukraine. There are politicians, who not only call for destabilization and chaos, but who try to organize and destroy all the positive changes which the people have managed to achieve for three and a half years. But I say nothing will come of these attempts," Poroshenko said.
The same opinion is shared by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko. He stressed that people participating in a rally outside the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada headquarters in Kyiv are plotting to commit a violent coup and are being funded from abroad.
"The right to peaceful protest does not mean preparations for a violent coup undertaken by a small group of around 150-200 people who proclaimed themselves as the only righteous persons and are demanding that the state do only what they want. And they are being financed from abroad. I will prove that in due course," Lutsenko said at a meeting of the Regional Development Council in Kyiv.
As previously reported, About 5,000 people gathered for an open-ended rally on Hrushevskoho Street and near the Verkhovna Rada building in Kyiv October 17. The protesters have demanded the abolition of parliamentary immunity, the establishment of a special anti-corruption court, and amendments to election laws.

Recall that the protest rally outside the Verkhovna Rada continues from October 17th. Its participants demanded the adoption of bills on the removal of parliamentary immunity, creation of the anticorruption court and the change of electoral law. On October 21, they added the requirement to submit for the Parliament's consideration a bill on impeachment of the President.
