Ukrainian parliamentarians continued considering bills on reforming the medical system at a plenary meeting on October 18.
105 amendments to the law on medical reform which the deputies did not have time to consider, are planned to be discussed On October 19.
According to Speaker Andriy Parubiy, since most of the amendments have already been considered, it is expected that voting on medical reform will be effective on October 19. And after that it will be possible to proceed to the consideration of bills on the cancellation of parliamentary immunity.
Thousands of activists gathered near the Verkhovna Rada building on October 17 to demand, among other things, the cancellation of parliamentary immunity. Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko submitted a bill on abolition of parliamentary immunity to the Rada the same morning.
However, Rada Chairman Andriy Parubiy said the parliamentarians would begin considering this bill after discussing medical reform.
In addition, the Speaker once again called on the protesters to provide access to deputies and other members of the Parliament on October 19 to the Verkhovna Rada.
