The construction of one of the longest railway tunnels in Ukraine has been completed.
This is reported by the New Time.
Thus, the length of the tunnel is 1764 m. There are two railway canvases in it.
In the presentation to the project, it is also noted that the cost of works is € 102.7 million. The project was financed by credit funds under the agreement between Ukrzaliznytsya and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, as well as between Ukrzaliznytsya and the European Investment Bank.
Recall that the Beskydy tunnel - the second longest (after Lutuginsky) railway tunnel in Ukraine, is part of the Lviv railway. Built in 1886.
In addition, the tunnel is the only single-track section along the entire length of the V Crete Corridor, passing through the territory of Italy, Slovenia, Hungary, Slovakia, Ukraine and Russia (Trieste-Ljubljana-Budapest-Bratislava-Uzhhorod-Lviv).
