The Sea Breeze 2017 international naval exercise is useful both for Ukrainian servicemen and for representatives of the armies of NATO member countries, which participate in them and with which Ukraine shares its experience of countering hybrid warfare, Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko has said.
"I want to emphasize that these multinational drills are efficient not only in terms of raising the level of our armed forces training, they are also important for foreign participants, since they give us the opportunity to learn from our unique experience of countering the enemy in the hybrid warfare that Russia is waging against the Ukrainian people," Poroshenko said on board of the Ukrainian Navy flagship - the Hetman Sahaidachny frigate during his working trip to Odesa region, where he attended the naval exercise.
The president stressed that many Ukrainian servicemen participating in the drills have real combat experience in opposing the Russian aggression and share it with their foreign counterparts.
