Ukraine's Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry sees no prerequisites for raising the price of gas for the population in the new heating season, the ministry's press service said, with reference to Deputy Energy and Coal Industry Minister Ihor Prokopiv.
"There are no prerequisites for raising gas tariffs, so my forecast is as follows: the price of gas for the population will not change in the current heating season," he said.
Earlier the government said that at the beginning of the new heating season in Ukrainian storage facilities there should be at least one billion eight hundred million tons of anthracite coal and more than two billion tons of gas.
