"It is evident before John Kerry's visit that the conversation will touch upon the coordination of our joint actions as strategic partners before the NATO Summit," the ambassador said in a TV interview. According to him, Kerry during his visit to Ukraine intends to discuss the issues of bilateral cooperation and the European integration of Ukraine. Chaly also noted the role of the US support for Ukraine. "We got $330 million only for the security sector in this year's budget through combined efforts of all our friends with the support of the Congress, where $50 million will be used on lethal weapons. The most important thing is that $650 million is $150 million more than the administration requested. These funds are not derived from corruption, they are transparent, controlled and they are surely used to enhance the potential of Ukraine in the security sphere. These are primarily loan guarantees amounting to a billion dollars, which are also provided in the US budget," the ambassador said.
