Ukrainian students won five prizes at the 58th International Mathematical Olympiad, held in Rio de Janeiro from 12 to 23 July.
The results of mathematical competitions are published on the website of the International Mathematical Olympiad.
As it is noted, Ukrainian school students won 1 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals. Another participant of the Ukrainian team received a praiseworthy letter. In the general rating, the Ukrainian team ranked 14th among the teams from 111 countries.
Recall that the Ukrainian student Anton Trygub received the gold medal. In the overall ranking, he ranked 13th. The first in 2017 ranked students from Vietnam, Iran and Japan. In total, more than 600 participants took part in the Olympiad.
