Kyiv Plant seeks to service western civil aircraft

The Kyiv-based 410 Civil Aviation Plant, part of the Ukroboronprom State Concern, plans to start servicing western civil aircraft in 2018-2019, the press service of the concern has reported.

According to the report, at present the enterprise is holding negotiations to repair and servicing Airbus and Boeing family aircraft, as well as helicopters of U.S. Robinson Helicopter Company.

The program to service Boeing aircraft envisages technical maintenance and dyeing of Boeing-737 planes.

"It is planned to start from five planes a year and the number of planes would be gradually increased to 40 a year," the plant said.

Work to sign an agreement with Robinson Helicopter Company to create the certification center for technical maintenance of these helicopters at the production facilities of 410 Civil Aviation Plant is at the final stage, the press service said.

410 Civil Aviation Plant is the sole enterprise in Ukraine that repair Antonov aircraft and D-36 engines. Since June 2015, the enterprise has been part of the Ukroboronprom State Concern. In July 2015, the enterprise was certified its compliance with NATO standards.
