Dutch instrument of EU-Ukraine Association Agreement's ratification to take effect on June 15

The document declares the entry into force of the law dated July 8, 2015, which approved the Association Agreement between the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community, of the one part, and Ukraine, on the other part. The Dutch parliament's lower chamber, the House of Representatives, formally confirmed the ratification of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement on February 23. The upper chamber, the Senate, put the ratification to a vote on May 30. The Netherlands was the only country left to ratify the document. For it to enter into force, the association deal was to be approved by parliaments of all 28 EU member countries. The agreement will take effect on the first day of the second month after the last instrument of ratification or the approval document is submitted to the archives. Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Hugues Mingarelli said earlier he expected the agreement to take full effect on September 1, 2017.
