Naftogaz ex-deputy head Yuriev commits suicide – Lutsenko

"We have established its whereabouts in the Vinnytsia region. During the opening of the house, the owner himself, a former witness, the former deputy Naftogaz Head - Mr. Yuriev shot himself. We were just opening a room when we suddenly heard a shot," Lutsenko told reporters after a meeting of the relevant committee on Wednesday. According to the prosecutor general, after the opening of the house the deceased's body and a hunting rifle were found. Lutsenko also said that, according to unconfirmed information, earlier in 2014 Yuriev "tried to register his death." According to the prosecutor general, within the framework of the operation, three witnesses were found who are providing testimony now. As earlier reported, on December 21 a spokeswoman for the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Larysa Sarhan said that the staff of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine during the raid on one of the objects in the embezzlement case of the state-run JSC Chornomornaftogaz funds, the body of the former deputy head of Naftogaz Ukrainy was found, who is likely committed a suicide.
