IMF welcomes Ukraine’s budget for 2016 – Jaresko

"During the consideration in the Parliament, the MPs introduced a number of changes, which had not been agreed with the IMF, and refused to pass the new version of the Tax Code, which had been approved by the President at the National Council of Reforms meeting and that had formed the basis of the draft law on the state budget, agreed on between the Finance Ministry and the IMF," the Minister said. According to Jaresko, the IMF has completed its assessment of the budget and the corresponding package of legislation, the adoption of which was necessary to pass the budget for 2016. "The IMF has agreed that the adopted budget generally complies with the objectives of the program," Jaresko said.
